Bebe Ballerinas-
This exciting class
is offered for toddlers ages 15 months to 3 years old as an introduction
to dance. Parent and child together will learn basic ballet
technique, creative movement, and basic floor gymnastics all to
tunes they love!!! Classes meet for 30 minutes once per week and
dads are always welcome!! Proper attire is pink leotard, pink
tights, and ballet shoes for your little one and loose, comfortable
clothes for adults.
Tip,
Tap, Toe- This
is the perfect class for the preschool age beginner.
Children ages 3 and 4 are introduced to
the basics of ballet, tap and jazz as well as stretching, body
conditioning and floor gymnastics. Children will learn dance terminology,
dance etiquette and choreography. Tip, Tap, Toe is where beginners
learn to take turns, listen to the instructor and be patient,
all in the positive and nurturing environment you would expect!
Classes meet for 1 hour one time per week. Proper attire is pink
leotard, pink tights, ballet shoes and tap shoes. Shoes must be
purchased at Spotlights.

Dance
Fusion- Designed
to meet the challenging needs of dancers' ages 5 and 6, Dance
Fusion is the perfect blend of ballet, tap, jazz and floor gymnastics.
Elementary age dancers begin to perfect many of the dance positions
and combinations learned in Tip, Tap, Toe and begin to add new,
more complex combinations and terminology. Dancers are introduced
to more intricate choreography and body conditioning to prepare
them for the next level in their dance training. Classes meet
for 1 hour once per week. Proper attire is pink leotard, pink
tights, ballet shoes and tap shoes. Shoes must be purchased at
Spotlights.
Pointe
to Pointe- A new
approach to dance training for elementary students ages 5 through
7 who are either new to dance or are ready to transition to a
more challenging level in their dance education, Pointe to
Pointe is a more disciplined class in ballet, tap and jazz. The
ballet barre is introduced for warm up and for perfecting technique.
Dancers will be expected to know dance terminology, basic combinations
and be able to learn choreography at a faster pace. Dance history
will be taught and an introduction to Modern dance will be incorporated
into the curriculum to prepare the student for the next level
in their dance training.
Class meets for 1 hour and 30 minutes once per week. Proper attire
is pink leotard, pink tights, ballet shoes and tap shoes. Shoes
must be purchased at Spotlights.
Novice-
Advanced training for the elementary
dancer ages 7-9 years old consists of ballet, tap, jazz and modern
dance. Dancers will enjoy a faster paced curriculum to allow
maximum exposure to the technique, style, history, terminology,
and conditioning required by each of these unique styles. Students
will also be introduced to floor work at this level as well as
an introduction to dance theory. Preparing students for a more
dedicated approach to dance, students continue to perfect technique,
poise, discipline, and passion in each step they take.
This class meets for 2 hours once per week. Appropriate attire
is black leotard, pink tights, as well as ballet, tap, jazz and
modern shoes.
9-13
year olds- Experienced
dancers are able to choose from a variety of curriculums in this
self-guided program. Classes are offered in ballet, tap,
jazz, modern, hip-hop, musical theatre, ballroom, pre-Pointe (with
instructor approval) and Pointe (with instructor approval).
The unique opportunity of this self-guided curriculum gives the
dancer an opportunity to branch out into those areas of dance
that they are most interested, allowing them to begin down the
path of self-discovery and passion for dance.
By
choosing the curriculum that best meets their needs, a more serious
approach to each style of dance can be taught and focused on.
Each class meets for 1 hour once per week. Proper attire is black
leotard, pink tights, appropriate shoes for each curriculum.

Adult-
Classes
offered in ballet, tap, jazz, modern and hip-hop. Classes are
designed for dancers of all levels of ability. Available to
dancers ages 15 and up. This
is a great way to enjoy the love of dance, learn a new dance skill,
refresh on old skills, as well as take some time for yourself
to relax and enjoy the company of others!
Classes
meet for 1 hour once per week. Proper
attire is comfortable clothing and appropriate shoes for each
curriculum.
Hip-
Hop- Students will complete
this class equipped with knowledge of Hip Hop history and culture,
which are the spine of the dance form. Students will gain a valuable
understanding and appreciation of the improvisational nature of
this dance form while learning basic movements and terminology.
Throughout the sessions, classes will examine different manifestations
of this dance form -- breaking, popping and locking, house, and
fusion -- while equipping students with the fundamentals of each
style. While no previous training is required, classes will use
basic body isolations found in other technique classes. This class
will break down steps and technique and also emphasize bringing
style and personality to the movement. Hip Hop is never done small
and students will be encouraged to step outside of the box and
dance big.
