Tip, Tap, Toe- This is the perfect class for the preschool age beginner. Children ages 3 and 4 are introduced to the basics of ballet, tap and jazz as well as stretching, body conditioning and floor gymnastics. Children will learn dance terminology, dance etiquette and choreography. Tip, Tap, Toe is where beginners learn to take turns, listen to the instructor and be patient, all in the positive and nurturing environment you would expect! Classes meet for 1 hour one time per week. Proper attire is pink leotard, pink tights, ballet shoes and tap shoes. Shoes must be purchased at Spotlights.

Dance Fusion- Designed to meet the challenging needs of dancers' ages 5 and 6, Dance Fusion is the perfect blend of ballet, tap, jazz and floor gymnastics. Elementary age dancers begin to perfect many of the dance positions and combinations learned in Tip, Tap, Toe and begin to add new, more complex combinations and terminology. Dancers are introduced to more intricate choreography and body conditioning to prepare them for the next level in their dance training. Classes meet for 1 hour once per week. Proper attire is pink leotard, pink tights, ballet shoes and tap shoes. Shoes must be purchased at Spotlights.

Pointe to Pointe- A new approach to dance training for elementary students ages 5 through 7 who are either new to dance or are ready to transition to a more challenging level in their dance education, Pointe to Pointe is a more disciplined class in ballet, tap and jazz. The ballet barre is introduced for warm up and for perfecting technique. Dancers will be expected to know dance terminology, basic combinations and be able to learn choreography at a faster pace. Dance history will be taught and an introduction to Modern dance will be incorporated into the curriculum to prepare the student for the next level in their dance training.

Class meets for 1 hour and 30 minutes once per week. Proper attire is pink leotard, pink tights, ballet shoes and tap shoes. Shoes must be purchased at Spotlights.

Novice- Advanced training for the elementary dancer ages 7-9 years old consists of ballet, tap, jazz and modern dance. Dancers will enjoy a faster paced curriculum to allow maximum exposure to the technique, style, history, terminology, and conditioning required by each of these unique styles. Students will also be introduced to floor work at this level as well as an introduction to dance theory. Preparing students for a more dedicated approach to dance, students continue to perfect technique, poise, discipline, and passion in each step they take.

This class meets for 2 hours once per week. Appropriate attire is black leotard, pink tights, as well as ballet, tap, jazz and modern shoes.

9-13 year olds- Experienced dancers are able to choose from a variety of curriculums in this self-guided program. Classes are offered in ballet, tap, jazz, modern, hip-hop, musical theatre, ballroom, pre-Pointe (with instructor approval) and Pointe (with instructor approval). The unique opportunity of this self-guided curriculum gives the dancer an opportunity to branch out into those areas of dance that they are most interested, allowing them to begin down the path of self-discovery and passion for dance.

By choosing the curriculum that best meets their needs, a more serious approach to each style of dance can be taught and focused on. Each class meets for 1 hour once per week. Proper attire is black leotard, pink tights, appropriate shoes for each curriculum.

Adult- Classes offered in ballet, tap, jazz, modern and hip-hop. Classes are designed for dancers of all levels of ability. Available to dancers ages 15 and up. This is a great way to enjoy the love of dance, learn a new dance skill, refresh on old skills, as well as take some time for yourself to relax and enjoy the company of others!

Classes meet for 1 hour once per week. Proper attire is comfortable clothing and appropriate shoes for each curriculum.

Hip- Hop- Students will complete this class equipped with knowledge of Hip Hop history and culture, which are the spine of the dance form. Students will gain a valuable understanding and appreciation of the improvisational nature of this dance form while learning basic movements and terminology. Throughout the sessions, classes will examine different manifestations of this dance form -- breaking, popping and locking, house, and fusion -- while equipping students with the fundamentals of each style. While no previous training is required, classes will use basic body isolations found in other technique classes. This class will break down steps and technique and also emphasize bringing style and personality to the movement. Hip Hop is never done small and students will be encouraged to step outside of the box and dance big.

See schedule for the appropriate level as this class is offered for beginner, intermediate, advanced, and adult levels. Proper attire is comfortable clothing and black split-sole dance sneakers.
